What will I receive as part of the 101 Mobility franchise system?
You and your primary installer will receive one week of training at our corporate location, and you will also have access to our online Learning Management System and other remote learning methods. You will receive up to three days of onsite help at your own location, providing added sales, marketing, and installation guidance. You will have access to all 101 Mobility trademarks, our exclusive operational tools, and our mobility equipment supplier contacts. And, we'll provide you with a copy of our confidential operations manual to help you run your business effectively.

How long is the 101 Mobility training program?
You will have a two week training session at corporate headquarters in Wilmington, NC. In your territory, there will be a three day field training course. In addition you will receive in-the-field training from your coach as well as weekly phone support meetings.

How does 101 Mobility differentiate itself in the mobility products market?
Our industry is highly fragmented, and most of your local competition will be small independent operators. We sell the highest quality products, and focus on providing the highest levels of service under a national brand name that a consumer can trust. We use a consultative selling approach that ensures the customer has all of the information they need to make a good decision and does not feel pressured into a sale.

What type of prior experience do I need to have?
You do not need to have prior experience in the mobility equipment industry or have a highly technical background or installation skills; however, proven field sales experience is key. To become a franchise owner with 101 Mobility, we also expect you will be fully dedicated to running the business. We also look for solid customer service, relationship-building, organizational, and business management skills. But regardless of your skills or background, we will provide the tools and training you need to run your own 101 Mobility business. We do, of course, also expect that you have the right amount of capital to invest in the franchise.

I’m not that handy with tools or equipment. Will I have to install your products?
The 101 Mobility franchise opportunity is about scaling a business and being a leader. The skills we seek are tenacity, leadership, organization, and precision, among others. Installation and service work in your territory will be completed by a 101 Mobility trained contractor or employee that you will hire.

How much will the 101 Mobility franchise investment cost me?
The estimated required investment for a start-up franchise ranges from $98,285 to $135,395, including a franchise fee of $45,000. As with any new business venture, it’s important that you have the capital needed to adequately fund your new business.

Are there ongoing fees paid to the franchisor?
Franchisees will be required to pay a percentage of their revenues to the general marketing fund. These fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of product lines, procedures, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades.

How will I attract customers?
101 Mobility will help you develop a sales and marketing plan that includes face to face sales calls, direct mail, and business to business referral calls. We also drive leads through our website, and provide professional marketing materials all designed to help you grow your business.

Are there any advertising fees?
Franchisees will be required to contribute up to 4% of their revenues toward a system marketing fund. These funds are used to develop marketing strategies to promote the 101 Mobility brand and fund the creative costs to develop local franchise marketing materials, as well as supporting and driving customers to our website as a source of leads.

How does 101 Mobility determine the size of a territory?
101 Mobility uses demographic information and then designates specific zip codes to form a territory based on population, home ownership, age, and other factors.

When will I need an office outside of my home?
90 days after your official open date you will be required to open your office/showroom.

Is financing available?
No, we do not offer direct financing to franchisees. We may be able to provide references to qualified financing or lending agencies, on a case-by-case basis.

How long is the 101 Mobility contract?
The 101 Mobility contract is valid for a period of 10 years. Upon expiration, each franchisee is given the right to renew the contract.

Where do I buy my equipment?
You will purchase demo equipment from approved manufacturers, a list of required and optional equipment will be provided by 101 Mobility.

What is the typical territory size?
Our standard franchise territory is an area the contains a population of 1 million people. Prospective franchisees may also acquire larger territories that are custom built based on your goals, geographic boundaries, and population density.
